The Africa Regional Committee (ARC) of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) was established and formed under the auspices of IADI in 2002. The ARC currently has 13 Members and 6 Associate members.

The current Chairperson of the ARC is Dr. Julia Clare Olima Oyet (Mrs.), the Chief Executive Officer of the Deposit Protection Fund of Uganda.

About DPF

The Deposit Protection Fund of Uganda (DPF) is a government agency that provides deposit insurance to customers of deposit-taking institutions licensed by Bank of Uganda.

The Deposit Protection Fund of Uganda (DPF), which is also referred to as the Fund, was established as a separate legal entity following the enactment of the Financial Institutions (Amended) Act, 2016.
